Test Details Overview

Tally up to 256 representatives without allocating

A tally kept the voters and their weights on the stack for up to 128 representatives, twice the
count of the benchmark fixture. An election counts only the votes of principal representatives
and the live network has around a hundred of them, so the margin was thin: once their number
crosses the limit, every counted vote allocates twice again.

The inline room doubles to 256, which costs 6 KB more of stack per tally and leaves ample room
for the set of principal representatives to grow.
